We're hiring a Embedded Design Engineer at AMEC Technology.
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

Key Responsibilities

1. Embedded Firmware Development

  • Develop embedded firmware for inverter control including PWM generation, MPPT algorithms, and DC-DC / DC-AC control loops.
  • Implement real-time control logic for energy management and power conversion systems.
  • Develop and optimize firmware for performance, reliability, and safety.

2. MCU & Hardware Integration

  • Work with microcontrollers such as STM32, TI C2000, NXP, and ESP32.
  • Interface firmware with sensors, gate drivers, ADCs, and power stages.
  • Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate firmware with inverter control boards.

3. Communication & IoT Integration

  • Implement and maintain communication protocols such as CAN, UART, RS485, I2C, Modbus, BLE, and MQTT.
  • Support IoT and cloud integration for data logging, OTA updates, diagnostics, and analytics.
  • Ensure secure and reliable communication between inverter, peripherals, and cloud systems.

4. Testing, Validation & Debugging

  • Validate embedded firmware on prototypes through functional, load, and stress testing.
  • Debug system-level issues related to firmware, hardware interaction, and real-time performance.
  • Support EMI/EMC-related firmware optimization to ensure system stability and compliance.

5. System-Level Collaboration

  • Work closely with power electronics, hardware, mechanical, thermal, and AI teams.
  • Support end-to-end product development from concept to production-ready designs.
  • Assist during pilot builds, field testing, and production ramp-up.

6. Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare firmware documentation including architecture, flowcharts, and version control records.
  • Maintain coding standards, version control, and release documentation.
  • Support certification, safety, and compliance requirements when needed.

7. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Optimize control algorithms for efficiency, performance, and reliability.
  • Stay updated with new MCU platforms, RTOS, and embedded design best practices.
  • Contribute to long-term product architecture and technology roadmap.
