We’re hiring an Inventory / Procurement Engineer at AMEC Technology Pvt. Ltd.

Industry: Renewable Energy / Power Electronics / EV & Energy Systems




Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement & Sourcing

  • Procure electronic components for power electronics and hardware designs including MOSFETs, IGBTs, gate drivers, MCUs, passives, sensors, and connectors.
  • Manage sourcing of PCBs, PCB fabrication and assembly, magnetics, cables, and mechanical parts.
  • Coordinate with domestic and international vendors for quotations, lead times, deliveries, and quality issues.
  • Identify alternate components and vendors to mitigate shortages, EOL risks, and long lead times.

2. BOM & Engineering Coordination

  • Work closely with R&D engineers to understand BOM requirements, revisions, and design changes.
  • Support component selection by validating availability, cost, and lead times.
  • Ensure timely procurement aligned with prototyping, pilot builds, and development schedules.

3. Inventory & Material Control

  • Maintain inventory levels for R&D, prototyping, and early production builds.
  • Track component usage, consumption trends, and replenishment cycles.
  • Prevent shortages, excess inventory, and obsolete stock.

4. Vendor Management & Documentation

  • Maintain purchase records, inventory logs, and supplier documentation.
  • Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
  • Resolve procurement and material-related issues in coordination with vendors and internal teams.

5. Cost Control & Process Improvement

  • Support cost optimization through alternate sourcing and quantity planning.
  • Assist in make-vs-buy decisions for PCBs and sub-assemblies.
  • Contribute to improving procurement workflows and inventory processes.

6. Tools, Systems & Compliance

  • Use ERP / MRP tools or inventory software for tracking and reporting materials.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement processes and documentation standards.
  • Support audits related to inventory, procurement, and vendor records when required.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with R&D, hardware, embedded, and production teams.
  • Support fast-paced development cycles in startup and R&D environments.
  • Align procurement activities with project timelines and engineering priorities.
