We're hiring a Hardware Engineer at AMEC Technology.

Key Responsibilities

1. Hardware Design & Development

  • Design electronic hardware for control, sensing, protection, and auxiliary circuits.
  • Develop schematics for inverter control boards, interface boards, and sensor circuits.
  • Select microcontrollers, analog ICs, power supplies, gate drivers, and protection components.
  • Support high-voltage and high-current hardware design in coordination with power electronics teams.

2. PCB Design & Review

  • Create and review PCB layouts ensuring signal integrity, thermal performance, and manufacturability.
  • Ensure EMI/EMC best practices are followed during schematic and layout stages.
  • Optimize PCB designs for reliability, cost, and large-scale manufacturing.

3. Prototype Bring-up & Debugging

  • Perform PCB bring-up, testing, and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
  • Work closely with firmware engineers during board bring-up and peripheral validation.
  • Identify hardware issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective design changes.

4. Testing & Validation

  • Develop test setups for functional, electrical, and environmental validation.
  • Support EMI/EMC pre-compliance testing and implement mitigation measures.
  • Ensure hardware meets safety, performance, and reliability requirements.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with firmware, power electronics, mechanical, and thermal teams.
  • Support R&D during product development, iteration, and design optimization.
  • Assist during pilot builds, field testing, and production ramp-up activities.

6. Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare and maintain design documentation including schematics, BOMs, and test reports.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety and regulatory standards (IEC / BIS).
  • Support internal and external audits related to product design and validation.

7. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify opportunities to improve design robustness, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Stay updated with latest components, tools, and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and long-term product roadmap discussions.
