We’re hiring a Rework & Debug Engineer at AMEC Technology Pvt. Ltd.
Industry: Renewable Energy / Power Electronics / EV & Energy Systems
Key Responsibilities
1. PCB Rework & Repair
- Perform PCB rework on control and power electronics boards.
- Replace SMD and THT components including MOSFETs, IGBTs, gate drivers, MCUs, passives, connectors, and sensors.
- Handle fine-pitch components such as QFN, QFP, and BGA packages.
2. Hardware Debugging & Bring-up Support
- Debug hardware issues including short circuits, open connections, burnt components, and incorrect routing.
- Support PCB bring-up activities alongside hardware and firmware teams.
- Assist in verifying board functionality after rework and repair.
3. Failure Analysis & Root Cause Identification
- Identify root causes of electrical and functional failures during testing.
- Support corrective actions through component replacement, circuit fixes, or design feedback.
- Document failure observations and debugging findings.
4. Test Equipment & Lab Operations
- Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and programmable power supplies for debugging.
- Operate hot-air rework stations, soldering irons, microscopes, and thermal tools.
- Ensure ESD-safe handling and adherence to lab best practices.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with power electronics, hardware, firmware, and test engineers.
- Support fast R&D iteration cycles and prototype validation.
- Assist during pilot builds and lab testing activities.
6. Documentation & Process Support
- Maintain rework logs, repair records, and debugging notes.
- Provide feedback to design teams to improve board robustness and manufacturability.
- Support R&D documentation and internal reporting as required.
7. Continuous Improvement & Lab Support
- Suggest improvements to rework processes, tools, and lab workflows.
- Support setup and maintenance of R&D lab equipment.
- Assist in training junior technicians or engineers when needed.
